What to focus on in 2026
Some people will tell you to focus on team emotions. Others will tell you to focus on AI. The next will say it’s all about leadership – and another will point to KPIs.
You will find every possible piece of advice in the jungle of team, leadership, and organisational development.
It’s easy to become entangled in one aspect, one truth, one path.
Three qualities that create inefficiency, exhaustion and finally standstill in teams and organisation:
– isolated thinking, without the ability to recognise networks, systems and connections
– superficial openness that lacks neutrality and the ability to evaluate from multiple perspectives
– the need to know & control everything in a time that’s less predictable than ever
But true mastery in team and organisational development in the years to come will lie in the ability to:

Across projects, roles, solutions, teams, functions, technology, processes, and humans – versatility will be the critical skill to seek and to grow.
