Not every resignation stems from dissatisfaction
I had nothing to complain about & I left my job.
When you leave your job, it is assumed that it is because of…
- Your boss
- Your salary
- Your colleagues
- Lack of opportunities
- Work-life balance issues
- Your role Because—why otherwise leave?
Finally, everyone builds their own story about your departure.
I left my job because I intuitively felt it was time for a change. Not just a change in company, a salary increase, or a new, better position.
Which is also called “the next shiny object,” when you are not following what truly speaks to your heart. There was no specific trigger.
I loved my job.
My colleagues.
Our partners and customers.
And the industry I was in.
But I knew it was fulfilled.
It was complete. For me.
Remember:
- You don’t need a (nasty) reason to leave a job. Listen closely to your intuition—it impacts your whole system (mind, body, soul) if you don’t.
- It’s okay if you are not entirely sure what to do next. My career in pharma cold chain is not something I aspired to—it happened. The same as my path now—I didn’t and don’t have THE big career strategy. I intend to follow my heart, my impulses, and the opportunities that show up.
- To all the leaders & entrepreneurs: I see that many struggle because it is assumed that every departure reflects on your leadership or the company. It doesn’t. It is employee self-responsibility. And yet, I always appreciated a “see-you-later” lunch to discuss what was great & what could be improved.
- Every departure is a letting-go process on both sides: intuitive knowing, clarity, acceptance, new “identity.” How long it takes for this process to unfold is very individual.
Sometimes I still have quiet, subtle doubts about my new path.
And then I read feedback from my participants:
“It was an incredibly big support for me to discover what my potentials and talents are. It brought me closer to myself and helped me acknowledge who I am. It made a huge impact.”
“The mentoring session with Marina really helped me gain clarity on a challenging situation. Marina’s knowledge and her natural ability to support people in finding their own answers is very inspiring.”
